The Mayor of Tirana expressed his disappointment today that Democratic Party members of the municipal council boycotted the meeting for approving important decisions for Tirana, such as the opening of a new school at Unit 8, which Tirana’s past administration, led by Lulzim Basha and Jorida Tabaku, both residents of this area, had turned into offices for the Aqueduct, according to Veliaj.
“The building that is now used by the Aqueduct used to be a school. Today we want to move the Aqueduct offices to the business incubator and free one school for Unit 8. How will they explain it to residents the fact that they didn’t vote for the school?”, Veliaj said.
Veliaj underlined that Basha and Tabaku have denied education to the children of this unit, leaving them to attend schools in double shifts.
