Veliaj and Peleshi introduce project for Tirana Lake

The Mayor of Tirana and Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi presented the master plan for the Lake Park and the Lake Entrance.
The Master Plan includes individual and alternative lanes for cyclists, a running lane, cleaning and a boat station. The Deputy Prime Minister underlined that this plan will increase the number of green spaces.
Mayor Veliaj said that this is one of the electoral promises that is being kept three months after coming to power.
A few minutes later, the leader of the opposition at the Municipal Council, Leonard Olli, raised the problem of the Roma community.
“Congratulation for the beautiful show, but you must understand that the citizens have the right to live without the violence of bulldozers and police”, Olli declared.
Veliaj explained that 13 out of 14 buildings will be demolished and terrain will be given to the park. After the running and bicycle lanes, Veliaj said the Albanian Development Fund has decided to realize the biggest playground for children in Albania.
