Vetting commissioners and judges under control will have at least one thing in common during the next three weeks: both parties will be on vacations. They will need to regain energies before the new season begins with only offices of the Public Commissioner opened for complaints from the public.

Luan Llapi is one of those who have filed a complaint against the judges who have delayed for years the verdict regarding his property. “I have been dealing from 1996 till now with these issues. 21 years on the courthouse door. They wanted to take away my house. No one wanted justice served, they just wanted to get the money”, he says.

But he needs to wait again, until the people he has denounced will have their turn before the vetting commission. Only 47 judges and prosecutors have passed through the process till now, while 750 others are waiting.

From them only 27 have gained the right to continue in the justice system while 20 others has been fired, mainly due to unjustified earnings but also connection with criminals. 4 members of the Constitutional Court were excluded and the only two confirmed in office are the ones whose mandate has finished. The Supreme Court suffered the same fate with 5 members being excluded and only 4 others remaining in office.
