USA increased pressure on Kosovo regarding Serbian tax

The USA are pressuring the government of Kosovo to remove the 100% tax on Serbian goods.

Two high-level US officials, the Deputy Director for Europe at the National Council of Security, John Erath, and the NSC Director for European Matters, Brad Berkley, have met with the Kosovo leaders for two consequent days, and warned for harsher measures, if the government doesn’t remove the 100% tax on Serbian goods.

One of the measures includes removing the 650 US troops that serve as NATO peace-keeping forces, a presence that is seen essential for the security of Kosovo.

The US officials also made it clear that there is no written document of any agreement that should be signed by the parties.
