A US State Department official declared for the Voice of America that
the US greets the Albanian people for the high participation in the
polls, reconfirming their commitment for the democratic future of
Albania.
The US official, according to Voice of America, declared that the ballot counting process should be transparent and end quickly and accurately, so that it can reinforce the will of the Albanian people.
The US Embassy had a large team of observers in Albania who followed elections throughout the country.
