After the visit of Prime Minister Rama in Brussels and the United
States, the United States Ambassador met with the head of the Albanian
diplomacy, Ditmir Bushati, who made a request to Mr.Arvizu for American
expertise at the Foreign Ministry for a better projection of Albania in
the region.
“We are honored that we received this request from the Miniwter for the strategic help, because Albania is really a good news story. Albania has an excellent story to share with others. We feel really good that we can finally help, so that we can spread this good news”, Arvizu declared.
Earlier the day, the Foreign Minister held a meeting with the European Union ambassador, Ettore Sequi, who considered the presentation of the Rama government program in Brussels a success. He made even a more optimistic prediction by saying that the status will be given this December.
“This historic achievement is possible. It is clear that we need the commitment of everyone for this to become reality. After this discussion I was encouraged exactly for this”, Sequi declared.
What Brussels wants from the new majority is comprehensiveness, as Sequi emphasized, referring to the opposition’s approach and its role in the process.
“I confirmed our position that we will continue the reforms on what the former government has achieved through hard work, so that we can complete the remaining criteria with our strong will and the full inclusion and approach of the opposition”, Bushati declared.
The European Union Ambassador added that he expects the realization of the commitment that Bushati has undertaken in this meeting, and which he tried to quote in Albanian.
