The US ambassador, Donald Lu, has posted a short comment on social networks, asking Albanian Police officers, politicians and prosecutors about results.
In this public message, the Ambassador reminds them the promise they have taken in front of the Albanian people and international partners, that of fighting organized crime and corruption.
“To the Politicians, Police, and Prosecutors: You made promises to the Albanian people and to us. We invested the resources to help you fight organized crime and corruption. Where are your results? The Albanian people want an end to impunity. The international community wants concrete results before big decisions this spring. Tick-tock.”, the message says.
