US Embassy welcomes MP Prenga’s resignation

The US Embassy declared on a press release that they welcome the resignation of MP Armando Preng.

“People with criminal records have no place in Parliament, courts, government or the municipalities of a NATO country that aims to join the EU. We encourage Albanian citizens and institutions to be vigilant and stop criminals from running for the June 18th elections”, the US declaration says.

“Albanians deserve a clean political system and judiciary, without being influenced by the organized crime and corruption”, the declaration concludes.
