US Ambassador: “We are asking Kosovo to show courageous leadership”

The US Ambassador to Kosovo, Philip Kosnett, underlined the request of the USA to remove the tax on Serbian goods. He underlined that the matter is not whether Kosovo has the right to impose that tax, but whether it is a good decision for Kosovo and the USA.
In an interview for KTV, he exluded the possibility of removing the economic sanctions against Kosovo, but it is up to the leaders of Kosovo to value if they want to preserve their friendship with the USA.
In this interview, he denied that the USA could put sanctions to Kosovo: “I want to guarantee the Kosovo citizens that it is not true. This is not how we behave with a friend country such as Kosovo. What we are asking, is for Kosovo to have a courageous leadership for the decision-making”, he said.
