The US Embassy in Tirana has been accused of having used double standards regarding the judiciary reform.
Answering to the Voice of America, the US Ambassador said that Albanian politicians should stop with complaints and start working for the judiciary reform.
“Instead of blaming foreigners, the USA or the EU, for problems which they have created on their own, it would be better if Albanian politicians worked for political dialogue among each other, and start implementing the judiciary reform, including the creation of the High Councils of Judiciary and Prosecution”, Donald Lu said in an interview with the Voice of America.
Ambassador Lu appeals politicians to cooperate and resolve the disagreements about the new Prosecutor General, and also to support better laws and to offer information so that the Prosecution and Police can find the leaders of organized crime.
