US Ambassador meets opposition MP for Justice Reform

The US Ambassador, Donald Lu, is continuing his intensive meetings with
representatives from the opposition, with the purpose to reach a
consensus for the justice reform.

Lu held a meeting this afternoon with the Democratic Party MP, Majlinda Bregu, right after the Democratic Party leader said that the opposition has been offering a new proposition for the reform and it has been rejected.

This proposition foresees the DP to step away from the reserved posts in the “Vetting Commission”, but they still stand behind article 88 of the Venice Commission.
