Unprecedented request by the DP: “No date for negotiations”

The Democratic Party deposted a request to the European Commission and
European Council, asking them to condition the EU negotiations with the
elections and decriminalization.

The amendment sent by Aldo Bumci shows the DP asking the two EU institutions to condition the negotiation date with the implementation of the decriminalization law and fulfilling of five priorities.

The stance of the opposition goes against what had been declared earlier by the Minister of Integration, Klajda Gjosha, who said that a concrete date would be very important for the reforms and for encouraging the Albanian citizens for their path towards the EU.
