The academic year for the Albanian universities started this Monday,
with 40.000 students who sit for the first time in a university class.
There are 160.000 students throughout Albania who study for bachelor,
master or even part-time.
The new academic year has also started for the Economic Faculty students, who held several protests during August. From this faculty, the Education Minister, Lindita Nikolla, held her congratulatory speech for the new academic year.
“I have the pleasure to share with you the best wishes for a good university academic year. I chose to be close to you, dear professors and students of the Economic faculty, with the desire to share with you a message from the new government. We are expecting a lot from you”, Nikolla declared.
The Minister of Education has avoided the problem of illegal constructions build within the university premises, promising a solution in favor of the students and professors.
“Let’s hope that the court will listen to our voice, but I promise that we will liberate the premises of this faculty from the unwanted presence of that illegal construction”, Nikolla declared.
Other speeches were held by the Rector of the Tirana University, Dhori Kule, and the Economic Faculty Dean, Sulo Haderi.
