Unfinished road damaging tourist town’s economy

This is the only commercial way that connects us with Greece, but rather than helping the economy of the area, the situation of this road is one of the reasons why the economy in Southeastern Albanai is so bad.

The road was built yars ago and should be finished by September 29th. The government turned this into a priority road and paid all the delayed payments. The summer season is close and Minister Haxhinasto had promised it would be ready by June.

But no one is working, the vehicles are idle and nothing is changing.

The work stopped in January and February due to frost, but now that the cold is oer, the Traffic Authority says that the Udenisht commune removed the right to the firm to deposit inert materials. However, this is also a resolved case.

The road is not the only problem. The city’s ring road, built before the elections of 2005, is impassable for any vehicle.
