The Prosecution of Serious Crimes will investigate only the robbery of
money at the Rinas Airport. The other five suspects, mainly employees of
the security firm at the airport, will be under the competence of the
Kruja Prosecution.
The Prosecution rejected their case since no evidence was presented to prove they were part of a structured criminal organization.
The situation of these suspects is still unclear, and courts seem to be passing a hot potato.
A verdict of the Court of Appeal of Serious Crimes rejected the decision of the Court of First Instance, after which, lawyers requested the court to release their clients immediately. This request was rejected with the argument that the Kruja Court had already issued an arrest measure for them,
The case is pending at the Supreme Court, which will give a final opinion. The masked men who stole the money, in the meantime, are still unidentified.
