A surprise bomb test has caused Rinas airport to be evacuated today.
Authorities said the test was conducted by the Civil Aviation Authority in co-operation with the State Police, to test readiness in the context of serious criminal events.

A secret test of the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority in cooperation with the Police of the Rinas Commissariat, inside the airport building, identified as a “bomb alert” has led to the evacuation at 11.29 today, September 30, 2020. of all passengers and airport staff, after the Emergency Plan procedures for such cases were put in place.
All passengers and employees of the airport have re-entered the terminal, after the police of the Rinas Commissariat informed that this “alarm” was a secret test alert.
We inform the passengers and their families that the operation of the airport is continuing normally and there are no delays in the scheduled flights.
