UN, Nikolic to speek after Obama

Despite the fact that there are no good relations with the neighboring
presidents of the region, the Serbian President, Tomislav Nikolic, will
speak right after the US President Barack Obama on September 24th at the
UN National Assembly in New York.

This was lobbied by Serbia after the former Serbian head diplomat, Vuk Jeremic, will take over the head of the National Assembly on that date.

“This shows the respect that exists towards Serbia”, Jeremic declared, adding that there will be other preliminary meetings before taking over the mandate.

The ambitious representation of Serbia at the UN and the battle for an administrative place as head of the organization was seen as a lobbing for the interests of Serbia and as an opportunity that will hamper Kosovo’s UN position.
