The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin, is attending an official
visit in Tirana, wherehe admitted that the only reason why they have
not recognized the independence of Kosovo, is the parallelism that
Russia makes to Crimea.
“The reason why Ukraine cannot recognize Kosovo is Russia, which manipulates without any legal or political foundations, and compares it to Crimea. We cannot allow Russia to manipulate any further, but we have never stopped Kosovo’s effort to join international organizations. We also play football with Kosovo”, Klimkin said.
Minister Bushati said that Russia’s comparison in this case is like comparing apples to oranges, that’s why our countries should not hesitate due to the propaganda.
When asked by Top Channel if the visit of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister to Albania is also influenced by the visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Greece a few days ago, Minister Klimkin gave a message to Greece and said they are not embracing the European values.
“International relations and diplomacy are always symbolic and I hope that my visit today would be symbolic, to have a clear idea of our dedication and that our relations are important for us, not only as a geography, but as a community of values, as part of the Eu project”, the Ukrainian Minister said.
Minister Bushati reiterated once again the stance of Tirana regarding the suspended issues with Greece, and then both Ministers signed an agreement for lifting visa regime with Ukraine for travelers.
