Municipality, were found guilty by the judiciary over power abuse with
tenders. Mziu was sentenced to two years in prison and will not be
allowed to work for the state administration for six months. The two
other defendants, Atli Hoti and Bujar Loshi, were sentenced to six
months in prison.

The Prosecution declared that Mziu had abused with the bids for the reconstruction of seven roads, after the “Gjoka” firm filed a report by saying they were disqualified illegally.
The Prosecution says the economic damage caused to the state budget is huge, and Mziu was arrested by the end of 2013, but the Court of Appeal released him after 24 days.
