A tourist trip to Albania turned out to be tragic for a couple from Poland who lost their life in a tragic accident.
After visiting several cities in Albania, Waldemar Makowska, 45, and Marta Makowska, 42, were traveling on their motorcycle to Shkodra in northern Albania, when were involved in a serious accident in the area between Shkodra and Lezha.
They collided with a Golf 5 type vehicle driven by a 27-year-old from Puka. The Polish couple dies on the spot according to authorities, while images shows the collision has been so strong that bike parts were scattered all over the road.
The driver of the car, which turned out to have rented it in Shkodra, was escorted to the police station where he will be questioned about the circumstances of this accident. Police also found a “Go pro” filming equipment used by tourists which will be examined to see if it has recorded the moment of the accident.
