The Foreign Committee of the European Parliament will start a two-day
discussion about MEP Knut Fleckesntein, regarding Albania’s reforms.
Fleckenstein in his report has urged a quick implementation of the Justice Reform and of the Vetting Law, in order to progress with integration.
Constructive political dialogue and compromise are decisive for the success of reforms during the entire EU accession process.
As for June 18th elections, Brussels appeals the Electoral Reform Commission to review the Electoral Code based on the OSCE-ODIHR recommendations and not include candidates with a criminal past.
MEPs from the right centered group, led by Eduard Kukan, demanded that elections should be a condition for the integration process.
