Two Albanian women will be part of the NATO operation in Afghanistan “Resolute Support Mission”.
The armed forces started the first contingent of the second infantry battalion that will serve in Heart, under the command of Italian armed forced.
A contingent of the Albanian Military Police deployed to Kabul a few days ago.
“Albania has a respectable place, that is known and full of positive ratings. Albania remains hopeful and determined to cooperate with Italy for security and defense. Another major project we are about to conclude with the Italian Armed Forces, is a donation of NATO armament to cover all needs of the Albanian Armed Forces within 2017”, said the Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli.
The Albanian military will serve at the Training-Advising-Assistance Command in Heart, Afghanistan, for a period of six months.
