The town of Tuz, in Montengro, will turn into its own municipality this Saturday.
For the Albanians living there, this has been a desire for the past 27 years. This is why it will be a historic day. Activities have started this Friday.
Albanian politicians of all party affiliations spoke together in a joint conference.
Genc Nimanbegu, vice chairman of Montenegro’s parliament, said that this conference shows the determination of the Albanian people to put their political requests to life.
Last year, the Parliament of Montenegro approved the law for territorial organization, with which Tuz became an independent commune with full self-governance rights.
