Tusk and Juncker congratulate Meta: “Albania most overcome political divisions”

Albanian President Ilir Meta received a joint congratulatory message
from both the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, and the
President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.
Both leaders say that Albania is currently facing challenges which need a strong consensus for supporting European values and respective reforms.
“That’s why we hope that you will help to help the country go beyond political divisions, so that Albania can soon fulfill the five main priorities, so that conditions for opening the EU accession negotiations are finally met”, the message says.
The European Council and the European Commission, the message continues, will keep supporting Albania’s reforms which lead towards joining the EU.
