The Bank of Albania wrote a cooperation memorandum with the Central Bank of Turkey.

The memorandum was signed by respective governors Gent Sejko and Murat Cetinkaya.

“This memorandum adds a new dimension to the relations between our countries. It reconfirms the will to increase cooperation and consolidate ties between both countries, creating the space necessary to intensify mutual exchange of information and expertise in various banking sectors, such as supervision, financial stability, research activity, financial education, regular technical and political dialogue. This is an important step for having maximal benefits from the positive effects of integration and for minimizing the negative ones”, Sejko declared.

Sejko underlined that the memorandum is very important for the bilateral and international relations, and for orienting future cooperation.

The governor also stated that there are 429 joint companies and that the interest of Turkish investors is very high.
