The Albanian Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Albanian Embassies in Beijing and Ankara, have worked intensively to finalize the departure from Wuhan of the Albanian student Silva Doçi.
The ministry has been in continuously in contact with the Turkish side, filing a formal request to include the Albanian student in the removal operation for Turkish nationals in Wuhan.
As a result the Turkish side agreed to allow Doçi to board the Turkish ambulance plane, which departed today from Wuhan to a military airport in Ankara.
It is now learned that Albanian student Silva Doçi has been through the checks and tested negative for the nCOV coronavirus.
But the long journey on a plane with over 45 other people evacuated from Wuhan makes it mandatory her stay in quarantine. Any citizen leaving Wuhan is required to undergo a 14-day medical quarantine regime before moving freely.
The Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is following the entire procedure of Doçi’s evacuation until her arrival at her the family in Albania.
