Trump sends congratulation message to Kosovo for 10th anniversary of independence

The US President, Donald Trump, has congratulated Kosovo on the verge of its 10th anniversary of independence.

The letter coming from the White House was handed over to the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, by the US Ambassador to Prishtina, Greg Delawie.

The letter states that Kosovo has made huge steps to reinforce its sovereignty and multi-ethnic democracy. However, a lot of work needs to be done.

In the letter posted by President Thaci on social networks, the USA show their commitment to assist Kosovo establish strong foundations of democratic principles, regional cooperation and rule of law.

This would make Kosovo undertake the necessary steps towards further integration among western nations.

“We see Kosovo as an important partner of the USA. For this historic occasion, I wish all the best to the citizens of Kosovo”, Trump writes on the letter addressed to President Thaci.
