Steffen Seibert, Spokesperson for the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, said that she and the US President, Donald Trump, held a phone conversation and discussed the situation in Syria, Ukraine, and especially Western Balkan.
According to Reuters, Seibert said that both leaders shared their concerns about the situation in Balkan, but without giving many details.
The conversation comes in a time when there are many debates about possible territory exchange between Kosovo and Serbia for normalizing their relations.
The White House National Security Adviser, John Bolton, said that the USA will not stop Serbia and Kosovo if they arrange an agreement with each other.
The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, said that the borders in Western Balkan can no longer be changed, a stance that was supported by Great Britain as well.
The presidents of Kosovo and Serbia asked for international support for any agreement that they could reach, even if it means territorial exchange.
