The project “Revival of our cities” was presented in Lezhe, where have
started the works for the reconstruction of the city center and some
roads along the Drin river.
Prime Minister Rama said this was only the beginning, and that for the next four years, this town would have more investments than in the past two decades. Rama promised that industrial areas would be built soon.
Several reconstruction projects are undergoing in Lezhe, starting from the city center, which the Prime Minister called “one of the gems of our history and heritage”, referring to the square close to Scanderbeg’s memorial, which had turned into a parking lot.
The reconstruction project mounts up to 220 million ALL, taken from the Albanian Development Fund.
The project includes repairing the river bank, the building of a promenade, a lane for bicycles and planting 3400 trees.
The entrance roads will also be repaired and the roundabout on the Drin River will be decorated with stones, with a project that mounts up to 40 million ALL.
The other project is the reconstruction of the Koder-Markelaj road that is known as an informal area in Lezhe.
