A grave event was recorded today in Korça in the southeast of Albania, where a mother and daughter were found dead in their apartment in district 17.
It is learned that the door of the apartment was closed, while it was the fire brigade intervened by force.
They opened the door and found Eleni and Ornela Vangjeli dead. The mother was 74 years old, while the daughter was 54 years old.
The causes of the double tragedy have not yet been reported, but preliminary information indicates that the mother was ill. The son of the elderly victim, at the same time the brother of the other dead citizen, off camera told that on Saturday he last spoke with his sister.
On Saturday, the daughter took her mother to the hospital because her oxygen level was low.
It is reported that the doctors told them to admit the elderly woman to hospital, but the daughter refused and they returned to the apartment. After that, nothing is known about what happened.
From the first data, it appears that the victims had not answered their phone calls to their families for several days.
First it is believed that the girl died and then the mother. The circumstances of the incident are not yet known, but there are no suspicions of a criminal play since no signs of violence were found.
Forensic expertise is awaited to fully clarify the circumstances.
