Today evening, the Gramsh Police Station received a call announcing that 4 citizens are suspected to have drowned in the Banja Hydropower Lake in central Albania.
The police services, the investigative team and the firefighters who went to the scene found that:
In the Banja Hydroelectric Lake in the village of Drizë in Gramsh, it is suspected that the citizens A.Z, 46 years old, R.Z, 19 years old, E.Z, 14 years old (father with two sons) and their cousin, citizen M.Z, 20 years old, according to the declarations of family members, entered the lake to bathe and did not come out again.
Also in the direction of the lake, divers of the special groups were sent to find and extract the four citizens from the lake.
The investigative team found at the edge of the lake two motorcycles, three mobile phones and clothes suspected to belong to the victims.
The investigative group continues to work at the scene to fully clarify the tragedy and the circumstances in which it happened.
