Albania has received more than 1.5 billion Euro from tourism in 2016.
This is the highest figure of all times, according to the Bank of
Albania.

Compared to 2015, according to the Bank, the revenues have increased with 13%, bringing 175 million Euros more to the national economy.

This is money that foreigners and Albanians immigrants have spent during their visits in Albania.

Tourism was one of the sectors hit the hardest from the financial crisis. After 2009, revenues from trips of non-residential visitors dropped for four consequent years, down to 1.1 billion EUR in 2013.

The tendency has changed in the past three years, with the Eurozone leaving the crisis and with the increased interest on Albania by the tourist market.
