Topi values bilaterlal relations in Italy

The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, is attending an official visit in Italy, invited by the Mayor of Torino, Piero Fasino.

He was initially received by the President of the Piemonte National Council, Valerio Cataneo. During this meeting, Topi and Mr. Kataneo valued the traditional and excellent relations between the two countries and the political, economic, health, cultural and academic cooperation, noting the need for a further intensification of these relations.

“Albania sees in Italy a strategic partner, a friend to which we have clearly expressed our cooperation priorities in function of the interests of both countries”, Topi noted.

The head of the Albanian State was received by the Mayor of Torino, Piero Fasino. President expressed his highest considerations about his work in supporting local policies for encouraging the integration of Albanian citizens, who now are an example of the dignifying coexistence in Italy, as Topi declared.

“The Albanian community in Italy is a strong bridge. The communication between the two countries and peoples, the ability of this community to integrate in a short time into a developed city full of culture and history, such as Torino, shows the European genesis and identity of the Albanians, as it is clearly expressed, especially today, in the aspiration of the our people for being part of the great European Family”, the Albanian President declared.
