The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, declared from the town of Pogradec
that he has respected the Constitution and his duty as Head of the
Albanian State. As for the politics, he compared it with a football
match, in which he said that he was a midfielder.
This was the answer of Bamir Topi for the declarations of Prime Minister Berisha, who declared one day ago that the President broke his oath.
“I have never violated the Constitution and the laws. I will continue doing my duties. I have been a midfielder in football, and I believe that it is still the same in politics”, President Topi declared.
The President released this declaration during the Wine Day in Pogradec, a town that he valued as a generator for the promotion of tourism.
On the other hand, the Mayor Artan Shkembi declared that he was happy with the result reached with this annual celebration.
“This is a big traditional celebration that doesn’t belong only to Pogradec anymore, but also to other areas of Albania. Among us there are also many other wine lovers, such as ambassadors et.”, declared the Mayor of Pogradec, Artan Shkembi.
The wine celebration in Pogradec has gathered hundreds of citizens, despite the cold weather.
