The US Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu, the Head of the EU Delegation in
Albania, Ettore Sequi and the Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania,
Eugen Wollfarth, met with the Albanian President today and discussed the
political situation by underlining the necessity of finding the right
political will and constructive dialogue for realizing in time Albania’s
EU integration reform, such as the electoral, the judicial and the
parliamentary reform.
“The successful realization of these reforms would be vital and very important for th Albanian democracy and for guaranteeing the free vote of the Albanian citizens for the division and balance of powers, for preserving the independence of constitutional institutions and for the integration future of Albania”, the President declared.
According to the announcement of the Presidence, Topi met the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Tirana, Nikolas Kanon. The latter valued the positive and moderating role of President Topi during his mandate, in service of the Constitution and the laws and for reinforcing the independence of constitutional institutions.
