Topi: DP and SP monopolized votes

The former Albanian President, Bamir Topi, inaugurated the opening of a
branch of his party in Lezhe, where he accused both major parties of
Albania.

Topi accused the SP and the DP of monopolizing the vote of the Albanians.

“The old parties have monopolized the votes of Albanians. Berisha is leading the country towards dictatorship. Beisha has occupied all institutions, while the opposition makes no opposition”, Topi declared.

The NDS leader reiterated that NDS will accept no alliance with the big parties.

“The New Democratic Spirit will make alliance only with the Albanian citizens, not with the old parties”, Topi declared.

Earlier during the month, the former head of state made official his return to active politics by accepting the invitation of the NDS founders to become the leader of this political force.

Topi declared that it was his civil mission to become part of the NDS, on behalf of the Albanian citizens. Even on that day Topi considered the DP and the SP responsible for the prolonged transition.

“20 years ago, the citizens were full of hope and they gathered in the squares of Albania chanting to make Albania as the rest of Europe.  After two decades, the Albanians have reason to feel disappointed from politics and to feel represented by political clans”, he declared.

“The New Democratic Spirit transmits this request of the citizens for a new spirit, a new behavior, a new mentality, a new politics and agenda for the development of democracy and of Albania”, Topi declared.
