The Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, visited the Petrela Commune as
part of a campaign that aims to raise awareness against cancer.

Many girls and women of different ages received the message of this campaign by the Parliament Speaker. Topalli is visiting each week different cities and communes for encouraging and convincing women for the vital importance of the mammography and PAP test.

Both these analyses help with a fast diagnosis and treatment of the breast and uterus cancers, diseases that are affecting many women in Albania. Topalli declared that she will work for stopping this initiative in order to defend the health of women and for enabling every Albanian woman to make free PAP and mammography tests.

By encouraging women to bring down the wall of hesitation, the Parliament Speaker declared that the tests have increased in the last year. However, Topalli declared that this test must turn into a general culture for the Albanian girls and women, especially in the age group of 35-40.

During the meeting, the girls and women at the Petrela commune received the explanations and instructions of doctors who are supporting the Parliament speaker step by step in this campaign.
