Top Story: “Big companies with higher debts owed to the government”

The debt that businesses owe to Customs and Tax Offices reached 1.1 billion EUR last year.

These are taxes that businesses have to pay to the government, including fines and delay interests.

There are 146.000 businesses that owe money to the government, but 40% of the entire debt is owed by only a few companies, some of which even connected with each other.

ARMO, the only oil refinery in the country owes 160 million EUR.

Two public companies for distribution and management of energy, OSHEE and KESH, owe 140 million EUR to the tax office.

The list continues with Deveron Oil , another company related to ARMO, which owes 52 million EUR.

Glob Oil, Geotek Albania, Top Bast, Bankers Petroleum, Bell Air and Transpetrol owe 6 to 12 million EUR each..
