The arrest of a judge and a lawyer in Lezhe, as seen in every news
outlet of our country, was made possible after an investigation of Top
Channel’s investigative program, “Fiks Fare”.
A married couple arrived at Top Channel’s studios some time ago. Two parents in an open trial for the person with whom their daughter was living with in Greece. They complained that the judge had demanded 200.000 ALL and the lawyer had agreed to help them only if they paid.
The woman said she was called by the Court of Lezhe, asked why she was bothering her daughter in Greece. The the lawyer told them they would stay two months in prison or pay 200.000 ALL to judge Parashqevi Ademi to avoid it. The lawyer, Gjovalin Ndokaj, who made this proposal to them, was appointed by the state since they could not afford one.
To see if the lawyer could really take care of their issue, Top Channel’s hidden cameras visited him together with the two whistleblowers.
Lawyer Gjovalin Ndikoaj was very clear. He told them to not say a single word in trial and simply confirm they agreed with the lawyer. He told them the judge was a mother and she would take their case in consideration, in exchange of 200.000 ALL.
The lawyer is heard telling them the judge should be paid 200.000 ALL through him. As for him, they should pay whatever they wanted. He is seen taking the money and hiding them in a folder.
After agreeing, the lawyer meets the couple and tells them he had spoken with the judge to end the trial. However, the case was not closed after the trial, but he promised that in the next session it was 99.9% certain it would be closed. However, the day ended bad for the lawyer and the judge, who were arrested in the act.
