Top Channel television crew departed from Kiev International Airport on Saturday afternoon, with a flight to Istanbul. They are expected to arrive in Albania in the late evening.
Journalist Muhamed Veliu and cameraman Besfort Kryeziu, for several days reported live from Ukraine regarding the tense situation created there.
From the capital Kiev to the trenches in the east of the country, Top Channel television camera closely touched the anxiety and fear of escalation on the ground.
Earlier, the Albanian Foreign Ministry like many Western countries, called on all Albanian citizens in Ukraine to leave as soon as possible and warned not to travel in its direction.
The call of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is due to the situation on the border between Russia and Ukraine, where as explained in a press release, there is a ‘credible risk of escalation of the situation’.
“Citizens of the Republic of Albania located in Ukraine can contact for assistance at the numbers: +48 22 824 14 27; +48 501 194 910; or to the email addresses: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] ”, it is said in the notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
