The former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, has held an encouraging speech in Prishtina about Kosovo’s future.

Blair expressed his pride for the intervention in Kosovo and he wished to be still part of its future.

“I am proud for what I did for Kosovo and its people that have left the past behind. I love this country and its people”, Blair declared.

I don’t want to be only part of your past, but also of your future. Kosovo will have its place among the other nations”, the former Prime Minister declared.

Blair, one of the biggest supporters of Kosovo’s independence, is realizing this visit to Prishtina through his “Faith Foundation”.

This is Blair’s second visit to Kosovo, after the one held last year with the invitation of Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci.

Blair and the former US president, Bill Clinton, were among the world leaders that supported the intervention in Kosovo more than anyone, in order to stop the Serbian ethnic cleansing, led by Slobodan Milosevic.
