Sources at the Commission of the Territorial Reform have confirmed for
Top Channel that the new division will have not 39 or 47 units, but 61.
This change might have come after propositions made by the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity, which has officialized its cooperation with the majority. Shpetim Idrizi was voted in Parliament as member of the commission after this movement was confirmed by Minister Bledi Cuci.
“PJIU, part of the opposition, will be part of the Parliamentary Commission. The reform needs to serve to the Albanian people in a long term. The inclusion of Mr.Idrizi is one step towards consensus with the opposition. Don’t forget that Mr.Idrizi’s request is almost in the same line with the one made by the Democratic Party, for more than 39 units”, Cuci declared.
Cuci and Fino presented the cooperation with this opposition party to the diplomatic corpus in Tirana, to the ambassadors of countries that have provided the funds for the planning and implementation of the territorial reform.
The meeting of Cuci and Fino with the ambassadors comes before the meeting of the territorial reform, in which the final variant of the map will be discussed.
