After the success at the Chicago Biennale, the best “Urban Public Area 2018” in Barcelona and the second award for “Modern Architecture” by the EU in 2019, Tirana’s new Skanderbeg Square is attracting the attention of international architecture professionals, as a space that has received an extraordinary transformation, taking yet another award.

Recently, the Skanderbeg won the European Award for Architectural Heritage Intervention AADIPA, a race with 239 projects from many countries of the world.

The prestigious prize was given by the Catalonia Association of Architects and the Association of Architects for Preservation and Intervention in Architectural Heritage, as a reflection of the complexity and history of Albania.
