“American studies on transportation show that in a year a driver spends on average about 50 hours, stuck in traffic. It is 8 o’clock in the morning and one of our 3 shooting crews is located in ‘Rruga e Dibres’, one of the busiest axes in the capital, not only today, but every day of the year”, writes Top Channel’s Juli Ristani.
A concerned citizen states”: “Too bad, traffic congestion from all sides. Before 6 o’clock in the morning you can probably avoid the traffic, but after 6 o’clock it is very heavy all the time, any kind of schedule. For traffic-free days, it’s probably best Sunday”.
“Traffic burdens you with a lot of stress”, says a worried citizen. “We are going to work, it has been 1 hour since we left. It weighs on us psychologically. Tirana is never freed from traffic”, complains another.
“Half an hour from the center to here. We are stuck, not moving at all. 1 hour late I get to work. Traffic in many places is caused by the traffic police themselves, they open some directions without any connection at all.”
