In the Municipal Unit no.3 of the Albanian Capital, the voting process
is being held at the “Xhezmi Delli” school, and unidentified persons
have not allowed Top-Channel camera crew to enter the school premises.
According to the Top-Channel reporter, one of the persons has threatened the cameraman of cutting his throat if he would enter in the school premises.
Top Channel crew visited the school after being informed that prisoners were sent to vote, accompanied by the police.
Socialist Deputy, Ilir Gjoni, gave some further details regarding this event.
“We were informed that one vehicle of the prison was bringing prisoners at the “Çajupi” school to vote. We followed the van with our cars, and when they noticed us, they left in a hurry. The van stopped at the “Xhezmi Delli” school, where the police have accompanied the prisoners at the voting centers”, Gjoni declared.
But according to him, Socialist Party commissioners in this school have not allowed this to happen, obliging the van with the prisoners to leave.
“This van went at the ‘Kongresi i Lushnjes’ school, where a person has voted and there have been sent also other prisoners. We filmed everything with a cell phone, to document what is happening there”, Gjoni specified.
He added that the situation was also tensioned by Democratic Party and Socialist Movement for Integration supporters who have tried to intimidate the voters.
