One of Tirana’s Grand Park roads will be named after the Italian writer, Alessandro Leogrande, who has written about the life and adventures of Albanians.
The name was revealed by the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, in presence of the Italian Ambassador, Alberto Cutillo, friends and colleagues of the renowned journalist.
The Mayor of Tirana underlined that citizens are those who take people closer to each other, and Alessandro Leogrande left a very important heritage to society with his work.
The Italian Ambassador to Tirana, Alberto Cutillo, appreciated the initiative of the Mayor of Tirana to honor the renowned ournalist. “I know Leogrande through his work. He symbolizes the closeness that exists between our countries. He would be very happy to know that his name is connected to this road and this wonderful park”, Cutillo said.
The founder of the “Lo Straniero” Magazina, Goffredo Fofi, also one of his best friends, said that one of the things he learned from him was the love for Albania.
