The Ministry of Environment has just received the respective files for
the two construction companies that are working on the Tirana Outer Ring
Road project. Environment Minister, Fatmir Mediu, explained that their
work will remain suspended until they will fulfill all criteria.
Mediu declared that the law for protecting the environment, which was approved in the last Parliamentary session, provides a series of sanctions for all subjects that create pollution.
This draft-law provided expensive fines for every subject that pollutes air, water and public environment.
