The draft-decision of the Tirana Municipality for giving the
Transportation Park without payment to “Eco Tirana” has spurred harsh
debates at the council.
“‘Eco Tirana is the first company and our city led the bringing of the waste mafia in Albania. Erion Veliaj started it and Edi Rama will spread it throughout Albania”, said the right-wing councilor, Fabian Topolli.
“The Verona Municipality is a full shareholder, with 49% of the shares, together with the Tirana Municipality. The company was created with complete regular documents that passed in this council. Any other claim is ignorance”, declared the vice Mayor of the Tirana Municipality, Arbian Mazniku.
The right-wing councilors left the room and the draft-decision passed only with the votes of the majority.
The majority also passed the decision to issue property titles to new apartment buildings, 30% of the total apartments within the yellow line of Tirana.
