Tirana Municipality operation for manhole covers

After identifying 4000 manholes without covers in the Albanian capital, the Tirana Municipality started working to replace them.

Mayor Erion Veliaj inspected the preparations and said that all foundries that accept stolen covers will be prosecuted and their license will be revoked.

“Citizens must understand that covers are paid with citizens taxes. Those who steal citizens’ property will be fined and prosecuted. We will go after the foundries that are part of this”, Veliaj declared.
