The Municipality of Tirana has helped the children in need these days, offering food packages and gifts for children.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that the solidarity shown during these holidays must continue all year long, to help anyone that needs support in difficult moments.
“This should continue all year round. Whoever has more chances than others, should use the chance to donate”, Veliaj said.
The mayor appealed every citizen and business to donate as much as they can during holidays, adding that he is convinced that a developing city such as Tirana, has all the possibilities to be more supportive with the people in need.
Veliaj gave a special message to offer support to senior citizens, many of whom live alone.
